2021 Virtual Advent Calendar11/30/2021 On behalf of St. John's Episcopal Church, I would like to extend an invitation to join us virtually for an online Advent event! Each day of Advent I will be virtually hosting you from my home and sharing with you scriptures that will take us from the story of creation to the fulfillment of God's promise of our Lord Jesus Christ. My goal will be to keep the videos to about five minutes in length and have them available for you to view at your convenience. You will also be able to look back at previous videos if you miss a day. Access to the daily videos will be from either here on the St. John's website or on the St. John's Facebook page. My goal will be to have the videos available around 8:00 am CST each day. I am so excited to share this experience with you! Happy Advent, Sara Barthelme - St. John's Vestry member.

We've Got a New Website!12/8/2020 Written by: Anthony Riesen Welcome to the brand new website for St. John's Episcopal Church! The original website served us well over the years, but overall layout has become a little bit dated and has proved to be a little challenging to use. Plus, with COVID-19 requiring worship from home, our technology needs for the website have increased. So, in the late summer of 2020 the Vestry tasked me with a redesign of the website, making it a bit more aesthetically appealing and bringing in some really interesting new features!
And, finally, we've added the News section to the website, which you have already found. The point of this page is to serve as one location for news that affects the community: announcements of upcoming events and stories that come out of them, vestry minutes posted to keep the community informed about the decisions being made, a digital copy of the newsletter you will always know how to find, and even member spotlights where you can share stories and what St. John's means to you. There are a lot of opportunities here and I look forward to seeing what the church does with it. So, take some time to explore the site, and please let me know what you think and where it can be improved. The website is up and running, but there will always be ways we can improve it.
